Summer Break

Everyone deserves a break…and summer is the best time to turn of the computer, go outside, explore nature and collect new ideas for the next season. Opernstammtisch will take its yearly summer break and encourages you to do the same. Go make friends with some cows, bike along the Isar (Munich’s local river) or enjoy a relaxing afternoon in a Biergarten.

When Opernstammtisch starts up again on September 5th, it will be starting the 5th season of this opera loving show! What an exciting journey it has been; from it’s small beginnings in Theater Heppel & Ettlich to it’s larger “dinner and a show” theater format in the traditional beer hall at Schlachthof. We’ve had 101 guest artists and 37 different themes to explore and enjoy together.

Celebrating 5 years is no small feat, so we have an extra special line up this Fall. We will focus on composers and their stories.
September 5th: Rossini
October 3rd: Strauss/Strauß
November 7th: Händel
December 5th: Puccini

Though Opernstammtisch is taking a break, I’ll still be teaching and singing, just without the extra added pressure of producing a whole new show each month. I promise to use this extra time to relax and explore the outdoors, especially the mountains south of Munich. If you would like to stay informed about my summer concerts, please go to mywebsite or visit me on Facebook.

Wishing you a lovely June, July and August!
