As 2019 begins, I look back at how significant 2018 has been for me as a woman and as an artist.  The whole year was a long and exciting transition into motherhood which of course has had a large impact on my singing and performing. After taking September, October and November off to welcome my son Otto Amadeus Chalfin into our little world, I am excited to return to the stage. This January I will be presenting two exciting programs, please see the information below.

Januar 19th: A Taste of America
As part of the Volkshochschule München month of exploring America, I will take the audience on a musical journey through the USA. The audience will experience composers such as Stephen Foster, Samuel Barber, George Gerswhin, Cole Porter and others – their works being as diverse as the country itself.  I will be accompanied on the piano by pianist Maharani Chakrabarti.

On Januar 30th, Opernstammtisch celebrates the opening of our 6th season!
We will open our 6th season of Opernstammtisch in the coldest month of the year with the hottest topic in Opera, The Seductress.  We will present the sirens and temptresses of opera in a sumptuous evening of music. I will be joined by a piano trio comprised by Maharani Chakrabarti (piano) Maria Andersohn (Violin) and Anna Rehker (Cello).
