Bouquet of Music

It may have snowed the whole day yesterday but today the sun is shining again. All around Munich the gardeners have planted beautiful spring gardens filled with tulips, daffodils, hyacinths, daisies and pansies. SPRING IS HERE!

Opernstammtisch this month is dedicated to precisely that, the beautiful spring flowers, all their colors and the hope and positivity that they fill us with after the cold, gray winter. Together with my colleagues Diana Fischer and Kilian Sprau, I have chosen a colorful variety of songs centered around flowers. We will hear a floral bouquet from Mozart, Delibes, Humperdinck, Weber, Brahms, Mendelssohn, Schubert and many more!

Here is a little video greeting:

Important note: This is the last concert of the season for Opernstammtisch.
We will begin our 5th season on September 5th with Rossini.

On May 14th I will be performing the soprano solo in Haydn’s mass Missa in tempore belli (English: Mass in Time of War). In Germany it’s referred to also as the Paukenmesse  (English: Kettledrum Mass) due to the dramatic use of timpani.
